If you’ve ever searched for a new bong or vaporizer, you know how it goes. There are hundreds of tabs, plenty of sketchy-looking stores, and no easy way to tell who actually delivers what they promise. Smoke Cartel is one of the online headshops that keeps coming up in those searches, so here’s a closer look at it.
A Headshop Built for the Internet Age
Smoke Cartel has been around since 2013 and sells its catalog entirely online. It runs a retail store for everyday shoppers and a wholesale arm for businesses. Over the years it has also built its own branded product lines, so you’re not only browsing other companies’ products.
The store has earned some recognition too. Its glass line won Best Glass at the NorCal High Times Cannabis Cup in 2018. It also has a price match guarantee, which is handy if you’ve found the same item cheaper elsewhere.
What You’ll Find on the Shelves
The catalog is wide, but it comes down to a few main categories:
- Glass bongs and water pipes. This is the core of the store, covering everything from simple beaker bases to more elaborate percolator designs.
- Dab rigs. These suit people who use concentrates and want a setup made for them.
- Vaporizers. Dry herb vapes and portable pens are a big draw. Several “best of” roundups pick Smoke Cartel as a good source for dry herb vaporizers in particular.
- Hand pipes, grinders and rolling papers. Everyday basics to round out your setup.
- Hemp and CBD items, for shoppers who want something outside the usual accessories.

Best Sellers Worth a Look
Best-seller lists change, so check the store’s own “Best Sellers” page for the current lineup. A few items come up again and again:
- The Mystery Box. A discounted bundle of popular pieces like bongs, pipes and rigs. It’s a fun pick if you like a surprise or want to try several things at once.
- Glass bongs. Reviewers regularly single these out for quality and variety.
- Dab rigs. A favorite with concentrate users who want a dedicated piece.
- Dry herb vaporizers. Praised for being efficient and easy to carry around.
- Sesh Supply glass. One of the in-house brands. Its Nymph Propeller Perc took second place in the Cannabis Cup’s Best Glass category.
